  • Fresh-processed eel, quick-frozen at peak quality to lock in juicy, tender meat and natural umami taste.
  • Plump, succulent flesh with moderate fat content and a rich flavour without excessive fishy odour.
  • Extremely flexible for multiple cooking styles: braised eel, miso hot pot soup, grilled eel donburi, steamed and stir-fried preparations.
  • Maintains good moisture during cooking; meat stays soft and does not dry out easily.
  • Great choice for daily home meals, holiday feasts and homemade Japanese-style cuisine.
  • Frozen raw eel portions, pre-cleaned for convenient handling and long-term freezer storage.

Cooking Suggestions

Thaw frozen eel slowly inside the refrigerator. For steamed black bean eel, arrange eel segments on a plate, top with fermented black beans, minced garlic, green onion and chilli, and steam until the meat turns opaque. For a miso soup pot, add eel fillets to simmering miso broth together with tofu, carrot and leafy vegetables, and simmer gently until fully cooked. For a grilled eel rice bowl, baste eel pieces with sweet soy-based sauce and grill until caramelised, then serve over steamed white rice. Avoid over-boiling or overcooking to keep the flesh tender and juicy, and make sure the eel is completely cooked before serving.

Storage Instructions

Keep frozen at -18°C or below. Thaw in the refrigerator prior to cooking. Never refreeze after complete thawing. Seal packaging tightly to avoid freezer burn.
